In the old 1.7.10 carpenter mod the doors have different forms like one having glass, etc here is an example: https://imgur.com/gallery/carpenter-doors-F9P6Aj7 i really liked it and think that for decoration is very good mostly because there is a lack of colors for doors and making some with concrete like full red or full green would be great, hope you guy(s) think about this and if this is already possible please tell me how i couldnt find how

Being able to set the door material, the hardware (doorknob, hinges) material, and the glass pane texture individually seems like the "least worst" result - I don't think you have a three-material block yet, so that's new dev I guess?

Cutouts of the vanilla wood door designs would be the ultimate, but just having one with hinges and door handle, one with hinges and door handle and window, and one with window but no hardware covers a LOT. A sliding or folding door (like the glass door and andesite/copper/brass/train doors from Create could be a later project.

My current plan is to have two blocks, one with window and one without, and have the door hardware be toggleable on both of them, similar to how you can toggle the lock on the Framed Chest. The windowed variant could then have the option to toggle between window shapes, including the various vanilla variants. Using three materials is however out of question as the entire project is based on the premise that any given block can have no more than two materials. This means that either the glass or the hardware will have a fixed material or, in the latter case, the option to select either a fixed material or the primary material of the door.
