Qt client's `block_until_ready` is broken on Windows

The Qt client's block_until_ready parameter currently causes problems on Windows. See the CI issues in https://github.com/glue-viz/glue-wwt/pull/95. I don't have any leads yet on what's causing this or why it seems to be a Windows issue.
