Automatically show annotations on already visited pages
If I highlight some text on a webbage, I'd like to automatically see that text highlighted when I will visit that page again.
Thanks @desk7 for this great feature suggestion.
Would a simple switch in the ribbon (the little thing on the side) do the trick? This way not always the annotations are shown, but you could see all the highlights without opening the sidebar?
Yes. In this way you immediately see the most important things of that page without opening the sidebar. The switch should work for all page, so it should be like "Turn on/off highlighted text on all pages". Thanks
That will be a wonderful improvement. Waiting for it!
@oliversauter And I'd like to suggest a similar function that can work together with the one above: Change the icon's color or add small badges to the icon when I open a page with highlights on it. That can be helpful when the highlight is at the end of the article, which can be ignored easily. Thank you!
I would be interested in this as well. If annotations were shown on visited pages, it would make it easier to see which parts of an article have been highlighted as well.
Thanks you all for the feedback. @pabru: With the upcoming update it would be will be possible to toggle the visibility of highlights and annotations. Also soon after that we will be adding the "amount of annotations" feature. It requires some rethinking of the way we fetch this number, because it can be that it makes page loads slower to fetch this number every time.
What about this feature request?
Hi, super interested in this, any plans to follow up on this feature ?
This is already possible, but a bit hidden:
