external links into WordCamp website are marked like nofollow and it would be better that was dofollow
hello, I could swear that in previous years links to external websites were marked as "dofollow" links. When talking to sponsors when trying to get small micro sponsors this factor is a good option for them to think about sponsoring a WordCamp because apart from helping the community they are getting a "Dofollow" link and it is a good thing for the SEO for that possible sponsor.
It seems that some changes have been made and now all external links are marked directly as "nofollow" is it possible to change this? it is a good option to get sponsorships in the WordCamps the truth :)
For example: https://grinon.wordcamp.org/2024/sponsor/modular/
In the past this has also caused some highly spammy micro-sponsor signups, I recall one WordCamp that had 10 different ABCDEFShippingContainerSales.com and AREAAREACarRentals.com type links.
SEO has benefits for the sponsor, but the wrong type of link can also affect negatively affect the WordCamp SEO.
but this item are totally controlled by the WordCamp Organizer, I don't see the problem and when we are promoting to try to get new sponsors etc.. this fact it's a googd point

Not necessarily 100%, It's often been that for smaller sponsors that they'd be just dealt with as a high-priced ticket, a Micro Sponsor would usually get listed somewhere (and AFAIK can be done with the [attendees] shortcode). Many organisers also struggle to turn a sponsor away when they're offering funds, with the sponsor only requesting the same thing that every other sponsor gets.
But yes, I have dealt with a few sponsors who have demanded the link be changed to a follow and requested refund otherwise at past events.
