Profiles data isn't granular enough when multiple companies sponsor a contributor

Open iandunn opened this issue 6 years ago • 1 comments

When entering the # of hours that are contributed, Profiles doesn't ask which company they're contributed by; it just assumes that they're all sponsored by the same company.

w.org/5 on the other hand, is structured so that 1 w.org account can be sponsored by multiple companies. If that happens, the hours associated with that account will be counted towards all the companies that sponsor that person.

For example, Jane Smith has 1 hour sponsored by company A, 3 hours sponsored by company B, and 5 hours sponsored by company C. She'd enter 9 hours on her profile, and each other those 3 pledges would have 9 hours counted towards them, instead of 1, 3, and 5, respectively.

#201 is related, and should probably be done at the same time, or at least taken into account when planning this.

This doesn't seem like a high priority, so I'm gonna remove it from the milestone. Feel free to re-add it if you think it is, though.
