The Support Docs have a few steps and recommended plugins https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/importing-content/#drupal It may be that this should be about us aligning around an existing tool.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/fg-drupal-to-wp/ seems to be recently updated, and well maintained. Should we reach out and see about getting them aligned with the Data Liberation initiative?
