AJAX info in two places
Issue Description
We have AJAX pages in both Codex and DevHub. Can we review the Codex page, take what's relevant and merge to DevHub and then retire the Codex one?
URL of the Page with the Issue
- Codex: https://codex.wordpress.org/AJAX_in_Plugins
- DevHub: https://developer.wordpress.org/plugins/javascript/ajax/
Why is this a problem?
Because it's the same purpose and type of information. It should be at least in the same handbook.
Suggested Fix
Review the Codex page, take what's relevant and merge to DevHub and then retire the Codex one.
Heads up @theMikeD - the "plugins" label was applied to this issue.
I haven't used AJAX in a very long time, so I'm not sure I'm the right guy to merge these two.
I do see however that the first line of the CODEX page states
"For a more recent overview of AJAX in plugins, please refer to the AJAX page of the Plugin Handbook."
So maybe the solution is to just retire the codex page?
