I’ve seen the phrase “for eg” used in your documentation (for example, in this article). This is a weird construction to me. In my own work, I would either use “e.g.” or “for example”. For preference, I would suggest using the English over the Latin abbreviation, since it is easier to understand. (Many people use e.g. when they mean i.e.)
