Corbenik CFW Updater RE fails to download
title
Is it just Corbenik that doesn't download?
The cia for the updater fails to download. the cia for the old version of gnnmarechal's updater fails as well
Sorry for the confusion, i would assume corbenik would download fine if i could even get the cia for the updater
It's still failing to download. At one point i think, i had installed the cia manually, and it turned the name yellow, and i marked it as latest version, but then i used the app again and now its just stuck at the top saying that it has an update for me even though im on the lastest version.
Not sure if this is still active but I'm having this failure too right now. I would indeed assume it's not fixed yet. I installed the updater manually too.
Currently working on a rewrite of Homebr3w anyways, gonna see what I can do. Does Corbenik install via FBI's titleDB feature?
will check when home
It does not. This issue is now also happening with freeShop, despite freeShop updating itself just fine within the app itself. Seems this is an issue in the way Homebr3w interprets titleDB entries, as FBI did actually grab freeShop, but not the other one.
EDIT it also won't let me mark freeshop as latest even though it is the official latest release
Seems to be an issue with a dead link on titledb.
The (time-devouring) solution to this is to update all other titles aside from the problem titles, then entirely delete the Homebr3w folder on the sd card root, and then launch the app again. After it sets itself back up, mark all installed versions as latest. @Flubbex @FateForWindows
Instead of deleting the whole folder, could you check if deleting the cache.json (I think that is what it is called, can't test rn) alone helps
will test when home :)
I can confirm that this is NOT because of Homebr3w, the link on titledb is dead from the looks of it.
BootNTR-Mode3 is experiencing this same failure for the same reason
Oh and I tested the other day and forgot to post - deleting the cache only sort of helps, it turns some of them yellow but some are still red and yet not updatable. pretty sure now that it's an issue on TitleDB's end
All titledb does is list the apps and their download links. http://titledb.com/
Also the link is finally working for me.
@FateForWindows I'm aware, yeah, but it doesn't seem to have any detection for duplicate / dead links, ie, bootNTR-mode3 isn't downloading because it has the same url as BootNTR, which happens to come first in the list alphabetically
