New threads, posts - improved visualization

Currently, it's very difficult to distinguish between read and new threads. Only a slightly bolded text is used, which for many users might be practically invisible. Do you have any ideas in this regard? Perhaps adding a small label like "NEW" next to new posts or threads to make them more noticeable? Or maybe using a different colored icon or dot? What are your thoughts on this matter?
