[Feature Request] Ability to close Emulators windows via gamepad hotkeys

Basicaly everything is in the title, in LB/BB it can be chosen in menu (select + start closes the emu)

That feature will never be implemented because it cannot be implemented. I can tell you the technical reasons if you wish.

When you use AEL you must use what I call a "launcher friendly app". A LFA application can be totally controlled with a gamepad/joystick, for example, you can open the menu and browse the menus with the gamepad. Both MAME and Retroarch are LFA applications. Most emulators are also LFA, but some of them although they require a gamepad for playing they expect a keyboard is always present which in many HTPC (home theater PC) setups is not the case. For example, in a non-LFA app you cannot map a button in the gamepad to close the app and return to Kodi.

Some users use external tools that map gamepad buttons to keyboard presses. Those tools are operating system dependant and could be a solution for you.
