WinMerge 2.16.52.0 X64 not reloading changes

After a file is updated, WinMerge 2.16.52.0 X64 is not detecting the changes, clicking the Refresh button or pressing F5 does not reload the files either. Replication steps..

1. Open WinMerge select Help->Configuration

2. Create a copy of the WinMerge.txt named WinMergeTest.txt

3. Select the two files in windows explorer.

4. Right click and select WinMerge, it says the two files are identical

5. In another editor edit WinMergeTest.txt add some text

6. Return to WinMerge click F5, it says the two files are identical.

Expected Result: It detects and reloads the changed file

Note: I've just downloaded and installed the x86 version, and it is working as expected, the issue relates only to the x64 version of the product.

I checked the WinMerge.txt you attached, and found that in Options → Message Boxes, the option “Another application updated %1 since last scan. Reload?” is set to No (as shown in the attached image).

Because of this setting, WinMerge does not reload files when they are changed externally, since it automatically answers No to the reload prompt.

To enable reloading, please uncheck this option or set it to Yes.
