Issue: Align similar lines

Hi,

I observe either the middle file or the right side file lines not aligning correctly. Example:

I am currently suing version 2.16.38.0 x64

I've tried different algorithms, but there is no change. No difference when compare white spaces and ignore blank lines check boxes are checked or unchecked.

The current settings are:

The third party source code is confidential and hence unable to share files.

Please suggest a fix.

Also unaware of why spaces and tabs are highlighted when they are ignored:

I can reproduce the second one, but not the first one. It would be helpful if you could create a reproducible example and attach it as a file.
