Crosswalk support?

Open svendroid opened this issue 8 years ago • 3 comments

We would like to use both, wikitude and crosswalk, in the same project. On a first try the wikitude camera view is not displayed when I add crosswalk.

Are there any plans to make the plugin play along with the crosswalk project? https://crosswalk-project.org/ or have there been any changes to the opinion stated in https://github.com/Wikitude/wikitude-cordova-plugin/issues/76

Or are there any samples projects with workarounds?

Thanks.

Pretty sad to see such an important feature still missing from Wikitude. For me the camera view is displayed but doesn't work and is not inspectable.

If you're developing hybrid apps using crosswalk is extremely important to ensure your app works the same across all different Android versions. Adding support for this should be a no-brainer especially since it also makes using crosswalk for your main application impossible, not only in the Wikitude AR view.

Edit: Has anyone managed to get Crosswalk working for the main Cordova view without breaking Wikitude?

So far we're not planning to support Crosswalk but all of our Cordova Plugin code is available here on GitHub and we're happy to accept pull requests ;)

#115 allows the main view to be crosswalk and not break the wikitude view. It would be cool to get the wikitude view to be crosswalk but that's quite a bit more work.
