How to pack the images for use with XOWA?

Good morning.

Thanks to this wonderful tool I have downloaded a couple of nostalgic wikis, and imported them into XOWA, but the problem is that there are no images in the articles.

I read that there are special .xowa files with images, and sqlite databases, and I have no idea how to convert that images/ directory to their weird formats.

Is there any guide on how to do this?

PS: Yes, I know that it would be more appropriate to ask this on the XOWA gh page, but it's been abandoned, so it's highly unlikely anybody would answer.

I'm afraid not many of us have much experience with XOWA. I have myself last tried it over a decade ago probably. If you have to somehow merge a wikiteam dump with a XOWA dump, it sounds like you will have to do twice the work for the same result. Why not just use the wikiteam dump? You can import it in a local MediaWiki install to see what the result would be.

Otherwise, please share here what you have tried so far (what XOWA dump you have, what corresponding wikikiteam dump you found, what the XOWA specification for images would be, what you have tried to convert the images from the wikiteam dump into the XOWA format).
