Are there any plans to make a wrapper REST API of this library?
Sadly that doesn't seem to work replacing the old baileys with this github
Not the wrapper but rest api service https://basis-api.com with free plan based on baileys
https://github.com/devlikeapro/whatsapp-http-api has free version and support multiple engines (not only Baileys)

Yeah I’m not giving third parties access to my messages…

Is AutoApps secure to use? explains how it works, according to the post, a separate container is deployed for each account during sign up. Which means only the legitimate user can have access to that container only. We do not store any data from user. No payload is stored anywhere and is processed as configured by the user.

That should prevent other customers from accessing each others data, but it doesn’t prevent the provider to accessing that data.
As far as data security is concerned it’s a none starter unless it’s open source and self hosted.
