the app has no icon

install imhex as flatpak search for the imhex app entry no icon is available

that's weird i've reinstalled imhex, cleared my icon cache, ran flatpak repair, and nothing changed

i've checked in /var/lib/flatpak/exports/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/net.werwolv.ImHex.svg and the file seems empty, nothing dispays even while viewing the icon directly

yad icon browser shows it however, maybe that's a scaling issue ?

If the file exists and looks fine, then I assume it's something with how your gui renders it, although hard for me to tell what exactly

I have the same issue, but only with the flatpak version. the aur version shows the icon. When looking around my system a bit for the icons source, I found a few different icons, where number one renders correctly in the preview and gwenview (my image app) and the second one doesn't show up at all in there.

Interestingly when opened in Inkscape both render, but the second one is behaving really weird. When looking at them both in a text editor, the first one uses basic rect and path tags with fixed colors, while the second one uses a bunch of stuff like gradients, masks, gaussian blur, etc.

I replaced the old icon with the new one in the flatpaks, just waiting for flathub to build a new version. Hopefully it properly works then for all of you
