What feature would you like to see?
An extension of the existing search function
Example from Sublime Text:
In sublime text, this would open a new file where the log is outputted to which lists all findings or replacements that has taken place.
It would be really nice to have a similar functionality in ImHex
How will this feature be useful to you and others?
This to me would be one of the easiest way to do cross-reference checks for strings regardless of encoding and etc

i also want to work on this issue, if you can guide me it would be great help or we can work together, i just need some support where i stuck and what should be potential solution.
Hey I don't think it's a good idea to implement this right now. ImHex basically only deals with single files / data sources. Most things aren't designed to take surrounding folders or other files into account like a text editor or an IDE would. If this is a feature you'd like to see, first of all the whole provider system would need to be overhauled into something resembling e.g VSCode or Sublime.
okay. im from Computer Science background, good with C++ and computer fundamentals. Any issue in which i can contribute in this repo? or any other you know, or for hacktober?
There's various things to work on if you'd like. Best would be for you to join the ImHex discord server (linked in the Readme) and discuss things with us further there
okay. but i have noticed most of the discord servers are dead or they dont respond.
