1. Remove any existing installation

2. Install a fresh ImHex

I think this is a misunderstanding. The button is actually a Update All button, not a Download All button. That's why installing or removing items doesn't enable it. I updated the localization a bit now so the tooltip actively states "Update All" now. Do you think that's good enough?

i can confirm it works on windows, but maybe it should also download the ones that are missing. Also it seems to only work on patterns.

If it's supposed to only update, it should be ok. I would also want a "download all" button.
