BOTEN no audio through built in speakers although the driver seems to be working properly

Describe the bug I installed the drivers on Debian 12 (UEFI) and the drivers appear to be working but no sound comes from the built in speakers. The speakers work on ChromeOS so they aren't broken. Previously Ive tried this on Debian 12 and Arch, linux-lts and linux kernels, using both pulseaudio and pipewire with none of the setups working. Ironically I was able to get the left speaker only working on Ubuntu 23.10 using pulseaudio 1 to 3 months ago. HDMI works properly and I believe Bluetooth and wired headphones do too.
