Switching Database option
Thanks for all the hard work on this great media management software. I recently installed Damselfly but because the file system I use is a NFS share (trueNas)- this does not work well with sql-lite DB and causes locking issues. If possible please provide an option to switch to a mysql/mariadb like Photoprim/Photoview has.
Thanks again for your time in developing this.
Hi,
I did originally plan to support other DBs, such as MySql, but I probably won't focus on this as the Sqlite performance is more than enough for Damselfly. I might look at more DB support in future (probably postgres) but it's going to be way down my list of priorities.
Can you elaborate on why using TrueNas doesn't work with SQLite? Or is the problem because you're mounting the DB across the LAN on a network share?
Thanks
