Maybe it could be the favicon picked from "Project website", libravatar/gravatar, or uploaded from the image context tool.

This issue has been put aside. Currently, it is unclear whether it will ever be implemented as it seems to cover too narrow of a use case or doesn't seem to fit into Weblate. Please try to clarify the use case or consider proposing something more generic to make it useful to more users.

Describe the problem

• [ ] When searching for a new project to translate some people might try using "Browse all projects" /projects/, but currently you can only see project names there, which is usually not enough to understand what the project is about.
• [ ] Maybe also add a way to list projects from self-hosted Weblate instances.

Maybe could also pull this info from the project's repos.

Describe the solution you'd like

Make it possible for project admins to add a short description of their project(s), and maybe add an icon.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Create a separate website for searching what to translate.

Would also benefit to people who have contributed to many projects and don't remember some of them. A quick description and logo would help in those cases as well.
