I can’t edit your description, but the WebKit bug is https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=205104.
Draft postion (support):
We are supportive of the Screen Wake Lock API and have an implementation in WebKit. However, we remain concerned about adverse impacts on users’ battery life and hope that through real-world usage experience we can mitigate these concerns.
Unless anyone objects by Friday 14th of October 2022, we will make the above the "official position". However, please feel free to object or requests more time if needed.
Please expressed support through the thumbs up reaction or additional comments (no +1 please).
As the CFC has passed, labelling with position: support.
Do you know if there is a target iOS version for the release of this new feature?
No, sorry. I don’t know.
Closing as we've identified our position.
