Describe the bug wf-panel will crash.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Enable plugin wf-panel
2. Just use wayfire normally. Switching tty seems to make it crash faster, but it crashes with normal usage (Firefox/kitty)

Expected behavior No crash.

Screenshots or stacktrace log.txt Wayfire version 0.7.2, compiled from source. My system doesn't have new enough dependencies to compile from master.
