Prompt to open links in apps not working, can only do so manually via top-right menu

I am using the Google Play version of Waterfox, version 1.0.13 (build 2025131905). When I am prompted to open a link in an app, the Open button does nothing, and I can only open in an external app from the menu in the top right. Attached below is a screen recording of an example.

For me it works some of the times

Sometimes the "open in app" button does not even show up in the 3 dots menu on the top. It works once every couple tries.
