Game crash in the campaign

The game crash in the campaign upon completing the campaign mission 5 and finishing a custom game, and will randomly crash upon starting and loading a game.

Error: Stratagus failed to load game data.

Using the gog version

I can't finish the campaign :(, because it always crashes on mission 5

As workaround you might edit: '$(My Document)/stratagus/wc2/preferences.lua'

And changes wc2.preferences.CampaignProgress[2] = 5 to 6 (not necessary 2, depending of the race for the campaign).
