Multiplayer Local with mixed networked humans & AI opponents doesn't work.

MacOS 15.1.1 & 15.2 Wargus v3.3.3-g1t16af8062463445c02b66d80585bfdcca75d5c36a

Adding an AI player to a multiplayer local game causes problems.

Note: Creating a Multiplayer Local game with local player + AI works fine. Creating a Multiplayer Local game with local player + networked player works fine.

BUT, create a Multiplayer Local game with local player + networked player + AI and things start to fall apart.

Also, I noticed different maps yield different REPRODUCIBLE problems.

Create Multiplayer Local Game: Map- skirmish/three-ways-to-cross Scenario A: 1 local player / 1 AI Game starts, fully playable

Scenario B: 1 local player / 1 networked player Game starts, fully playable

Scenario C: 1 local player/ 1 networked player / 1 AI player- Dedicated AI Server: no Game starts, AI Player NOT present on map, playable regardless

Scenario D: 1 local player/ 1 networked player / 1 AI player- Dedicated AI Server: yes Game starts, AI Player present on map, immediate Network Out of Sync / unplayable

Create Multiplayer Local Game: Map- skirmish/multiplayer/Central Park Scenario A: 1 local player / 1 AI Game starts, fully playable

Scenario B: 1 local player / 1 networked player Game starts, fully playable

Scenario C: 1 local player/ 1 networked player / 1 AI player- Dedicated AI Server: no Game starts, AI Player not present on map, immediate Network Out of Sync / unplayable

Scenario D: 1 local player/ 1 networked player / 1 AI player- Dedicated AI Server: yes Game starts only for creator, networked player stays on join screen

Other observations: Some maps will default the Dedicated AI Server setting to OFF:

  • skirmish/multiplayer/Central Park
  • skirmish/cross-the-streams

Some maps will default the Dedicated AI Server setting to ON

  • skirmish/2-players
  • skirmish/three-ways-to-cross

===== Thank you for keeping this alive! I have multiple Macs and I'm available for the rest of the month to build new versions and test. J.
