Yea most likely because I was unable to test the MacOS build. I'll look into setting up a MacOS VM and fixing this. Thanks for reporting.
Appears to be a issue with building for apple silicon, I believe x64 would work correctly.

Currently stalled as capacitor-video-player doesn't support embed player
Does the same happen when using the video share dropdown? I've tried replicating this issue using webkit on desktop but works fine for me.
