Magic System - Player Onboarding

From Magic 2025 planning doc:

Player Access - Overall, no matter how we change the system, it will still be complex. To make it more accessible for Players, we can do one or more of these things.

  1. Docs - Provide a google docs/updated reddit post on the magic system, explaining it to players. This is very easy for us to do, but not all subscribers look at our reddit or discord, so we might still have people asking questions
  2. In Game Tutorial - The game has a tutorial feature, although im not sure how to use it so unless I figure it out, it won’t be an option
  3. Pop-ups - This will be the best for players, as it basically forces them to learn about the system. POD does this on game start, it basically asks the player if they need help learning the systems and other things. However, some have mentioned that this can break immersion.

PoD is a good example to use, however we could leave it as a decision for players to bring up the ingame tutorial
