Gamecube controller stops controlling pointer when keyboard is plugged in

///// WARNING THIS IS WRONG NONE OF THESE PROBLEMS ARE REPLICABLE /////

im having alot of issues around input devices the gamecube controller does not work for any input once entering windows (nt setup or desktop) the outermost usb slot on my wii does not seem to work for any input type the innermost usb slot only seems to work with a keyboard. when i plug my mouse in, it receives power but does not move the pointer.

i have used this wii for many other projects, is it possible one of them is interfering with windows nt? any help on these issues would be great!

after some testing: above is completely wrong usb slots are not different my mouse seems to not work at all, in either slot, with nothing plugged in the gamecube controller works at controlling the pointer aslong as my keyboard isnt plugged in. the question has changed to: why does my gamecube controller stop controlling the pointer when my keyboard is plugged in? the only other keyboard i have its a mechanical keyboard that dosent seem to work with the wii (gets power but not a single key does anything in arkloader)

Gamecube controller as mouse should work fine with just a keyboard plugged in. Does the mouse pointer render in this scenario under NT?

I'd recommend using a powered hub, as the USB ports on the Wii and Wii U strictly limit power to the 500mA as allowed by USB2, newer devices (even if they are USB2) tend to want more power than this.

i bought a cheap usb 2.0 mouse and now the issue is fixed??? the gamecube controller still wont work for moving the pointer but with the external mouse plugged in works just fine....
