[question] Joystick, graphics and midi
Do you intend to use OpenGX as an OpenGL renderer? Since the NGC and Wii use it to render 3D on the video card, this would be good to use as a way to simulate Voodoo 3D FX or even some Intel and ATI cards. Furthermore, for game controls it would be great to use the Gamecube and Classic controllers as if they were the Sinderwider controllers in games like Resident Evil and Final Fantasy VII. I just don't know how they will do it in the midi part. The Yamaha GX 50 is open source, but as for the processor, only in the form of patches and future optimizations.

No. I don't think OpenGX was ever finished? And OpenGL/GPU stuff in general is a subject I am not familiar with.

I hadn't thought about a joypad driver, but I might be able to implement that at some point.
MIDI
I have half finished audio driver, I guess when I finish that, gm.dls and probably other softsynths would work? NT audio stack before Win2k could be notoriously laggy though.

Well, I say this because the performance increases a lot, anyway I'll wait for this port to mature more https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5m6hiUVEZo&t=1309s&ab_channel=xjsxjs197
