The app isn't designed for this, and I have never tried, so I'd say, currently it is not.

Thinking of hooking up a relay to a garage door and using this to authenticate. Being able to do it right form Android Auto would be killer!

Great app, much easier to use and less bloat than tasker for simple requests.

@Waboodoo Is this something that you would consider implementing ? I believe this could be approved as IoT for AA. I was considering creating a custom solution for myself, but I would appreciate it if you could include AA support in your app. By the way, your app is awsome ! :1st_place_medal:

I think it would fit within the vision of the app, but it would require significant time and effort to develop and maintain. More than I am currently willing to invest into a feature that I couldn't even properly test. As such, this issue will likely stay in the backlog for the foreseable future.

I am interested in this feature, and I believe I can code it. Do you have a chance to validate my pull request ? Or perhaps you won't want to, out of fear of maintenance ?

@corentin59 I'd appreciate a contribution like that, but before you go into coding I'd like to first see a rough overview/description of what you envision. That will let me estimate how complex it would be to integrate it, whether it fits my overall vision for the app, and what kind of maintenance would come of it. Also, as far as I'm aware, beyond just the code there'd also be extra steps needed to get the app reviewed and approved for Auto, so that it will be available on the Play Store, so we'd also need to look into that. If you have experience with that or would be willing to find out, that would of course come in handy.
