Question: Can you share a video without log in
Question / Feature Request:
Is it possible to have the permissions set so that the site requires login, however if you share a video have the video open to the world?
i.e. I have the AVideo locked down so you can do anything unless logged in. It would be nice however to be able to share a video with direct link.

it is possible, but the restriction may be many things.
you may want to try to give more details of what is exactly the error and your configuration
Probably you want to make the video unlisted instead of force users to be logged in
no error. basically when someone goes to a shared video link it asks for a login. I want to have a share link that is wide open, no log in required.
is your streamer sire requiring a login?
if yes disable it and make your videos unlisted as I suggested above
I dont want to disable login ... i want that for security purposes. There are many other features of AVideo that I want secured.
Perhaps what I am indicating is a use case not thought about, and a good feature request.
If you force login I assume you want to protect all your site. including videos.
I am not sure why do you want to force the login and do not protect the videos.
I want to force login, protect all of the site. However, if there is a video that I want to share, so that non-users can stream them, OR if you want to share them via an alternate method (text SMS, other social site, etc.) You would want the video to be unprotected for viewing.
For now, I do not see a solution for that.

ok thanks. I see it as one of the most useful features. Not just for me - I would imagine sharing a video stream to larger audiences would be very popular. Even as a plugin for purchase.
