ok it seems it was related to hiding the icon that explicitly disabled the activity.

Meanwhile, you can disable battery optimization by adding the app to whitelist via adb.

Command: adb shell dumpsys deviceidle whitelist +<app ID>

For MicroG: adb shell dumpsys deviceidle whitelist +app.revanced.android.gms

I haven't tested it on HyperOS, but it should work.
