Disable the Windows Hypervisor Platform from OptionalFeatures.

Same thing happens to me. The thing is though is that it works when I revert the image files to the original unedited ones. But when I switch to the edited image files that is supposed to include GApps, WSA fails to load.

@s1204IT Thank you for your response, but wsa still does not run after I disable it.

It looks like this, and then it just closes without displaying a menu or an error message.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

Please try to replace the kernel. The kernel can be found in WGASAScript/misc/kernel (-x86_64).

I'm Japanese, so please forgive my English if it's not right.

@s1204IT It's all right, and perhaps I'm just unlucky like alex.

Disable the Windows Hypervisor Platform from OptionalFeatures.

This worked for me.

I have the same issue, a clean install of WSA still has the same issue.... yikes

nexepu avatar Nov 15 '21 17:11 nexepu

It fails to load also for me. I even reinstalled Windows from scratch thinking that that system had something damaged as WSL was no longer working too, but nothing changed unfortunately. Is there any way to get logs? ADB shows device offline, so adb logcat is not an option. I also do not know if there is any way to get kernel logs. I saw that init binaries may be opened by WSL, so I think that if we manage to launch WSA from WSL it may give us more logs. Also related with WSL: wslg is not working for me (I get "Error: Can't open display: :0"), so Windows 11 X Server is not available. Could the problem be related with this? Thanks in advance

EDIT: I found this comment https://github.com/WSA-Community/WSAGAScript/issues/75#issuecomment-955722041 about getting logs. Now I have logcats in C:\Users\ramon\AppData\Local\Packages\MicrosoftCorporationII.WindowsSubsystemForAndroid_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\diagnostics\logcat😁

rmnhg avatar Nov 15 '21 22:11 rmnhg

Well. After reading logcats I noticed that Android system tried to boot, but there was a watchdog process that killed the system process after a timeout, so the system never got booting.

I also tried @s1204IT script to check if it could fix the issue, but unfortunately I got the same results (but I liked the interactive script BTW. Thanks for making it).

I investigated a bit more and I saw that I may need a Graphics driver with WDDM 3.0 support, but after checking my version with dxdiag I saw I had just WDDM 2.5. I tried updating to latest Intel Graphics driver but it still reports WDDM 2.5. I think my GPU, which is integrated into a modest Intel(R) Celeron(R) N4000C CPU, is not supported to run a newer WDDM version. I may try to mod the graphics driver to see if I could force Windows to use WDDM 3.0, but it seems complicated. I'll report back if I get it working. Regards

I'm sorry. There are two types of my scripts, an English version and a Japanese version. So the Japanese version works perfectly, but the English version is still incomplete. @rmnhg I'll complete the English version within 48 hours to solve your problem.

Please wait until it is completed.

@s1204IT I forgot to answer you. I'm very sorry. A lot of thanks for your script. I tried it, but unfortunately it did not work as expected. It was missing some quotes in Powershell code. I added them, but it also tried to reinstall my WSL install and I did not want to do that as I have some important files there. I ended up modifiying the script to skip the WSL reinstall, but there was another problem with Github links. Instead of returning the file it was downloading, Github server returned an error (I guess it was like access denied or 404, I do not remeber exactly). I think that was a Github issue, but I could not continue. I tried some days after the first try but I got the same result.

As I have been busy with some exams, I left this for now. It seems like Microsoft will launch a public preview for Windows Subsystem for Android in February, so I think I will wait for it to check if it works

I will report back if I get it working.

Thanks again and regards

is there any solved method? this is happening to me

deta312 avatar Nov 12 '22 02:11 deta312

It is very easy. MagiskOnWSALocal is to use.

I used to try to contribute to WSAGAScript. But there was no sign of them being reviewed. So I ditched WSAGAScript and continue to contribute to MagiskOnWSA. That's all I can say.

s1204IT avatar Nov 12 '22 02:11 s1204IT

I solved the problem forcing a GPU under performance setting, by default is set on dynamic and it won't load any app, just the loading screen. Setting a GPU (my laptop got an RTX 3060 and an Intel UHD, both works fine) everything is now working

Liamen94 avatar Dec 05 '22 14:12 Liamen94

Hi, I am having the same issue. I tried all possible solutions, like resetting, resetting to default in WSA settings, changing the graphics settings, etc. The only fix left is to reinstall it, but I had installed many apps in it, and I am not willing to uninstall or reinstall it, so I am trying to find out any fix for it. It is a very weird problem, by the way. When I open the WSA, it just closes by itself, but I am getting notifications of the installed apps on the WSA as it is. The only problem is that the app interface not showing
