cursor location is off by 2 or 3 characters in Safari (Mac)

Using Safari (latest) if I move the cursor to a location in the middle of a line and press a key, the character modified is 2 or 3 characters previous. This doesn't happen on Chrome for mac.

I'm having the same problem. It's happening in pretty much all "Wordpress Code Editors" so I can only imagine there's some underlying library here that's causing the problem.

I'm not seeing this, maybe Safari have since sorted this issue out? anyone else see this?....
