Essential Addons + Envato/ThemeForest Template Kits

Hello Essential Addons,

Envato is about to release Template Kits on ThemeForest.

The default urls for icons etc.. are exported in the Template JSON data, this causes an error in our "Export" process:

Our export process does not allow including certain URLs in the JSON, because if a customer imports this JSON the URLs will reference the original authors URL.

We don't want the author to have to host these images for everyone that installs a template onto their site.

Can you reach out to me at [email protected] to talk about possible solutions to this issue? We'd like to allow Essential Addons in Template Kits on ThemeForest but we're concerned about this.

The solution I'd like to discuss is if you could remove the URL from the exported JSON data if it matches the default. This way when the JSON is imported by a customer it will fall back to their local default asset URL instead of referencing the authors.

This is not a complete solution, and you'll need to test it exports / import correctly.
