Can a region be added via ARIA for accessibility

I was wondering if the built in views could have some ARIA information added to it for accessibility reasons. I had a user with a screen reader who was confused because they didn’t know that the information contained in the sliders was testimonial information. I am thinking something like:

Which then turns the testimonial, wherever it is called, into a region, which would be announced by the screen reader.
