Consider describing relationship/mapping to ISO/IEC 23001-15

FYI, MPEG recently approved the FDIS for the Carriage of Web Resources in ISOBMFF, formerly ISO/IEC 23001-15. It defines how to store HTML/CSS/JSS in MP4 tracks. This specification was written in part to answer some of the use cases brought to MPEG which seem to match those covered in the DataCue explainer (e.g. triggering JS-based application-specific behavior at given media times, synchronized A/V+HTML/CSS/JS overlays, ...). The DataCue work should consider describing how such tracks should be mapped into DataCues.

Thanks, @cconcolato. Can you share or link to the FDIS for us to take a look at, please?

It is document N18639 output from the last MPEG meeting, which should be uploaded in the MPEG repository soon. It should also become available on the ISO website soon after. If you need more details on this document, contact me privately.

FYI: We have previously gotten MPEG confidential docs via liaison as long as they stay on the W3C Member site.
