Compatability issue with WinAVR and MVH AVR 20121007

I tried using the code base to build the hex file to run on ATMEGA 2560, I am not able to build it on windows using latest winavr (2010 release) then as per the readme.md file..I tried it with the MVH AVR version both latest and 20121007., both are having build errors while using the following Make commands...

MAKE MAKE ./ MAKE ./Makefile

let me know if this works in windows and especially with Win64..(if so.., please do drop the command line to build this on the windows system). OR am I missing something important here ...?
