Steam game detection can be slow if a lot of games are installed

I don't think this is a bug, but perhaps at a minimum we should split up the operation into smaller pieces. Could each platform have its own progress indicator and each detected game tick it forward?

Perhaps a better idea is to store a hash of each vdf file and only process it again if it's changed. Or even a hash of the entire steam library directory in some way
