I'm running this on Forge 1.20.1 (47.4.0), the mod works fine but after playing it and closing the game, I have to restart SteamVR completely before starting the game again and playing it.
It just crashes constantly on the first frame after playing one time and closing the game.
Take a look at my logs here
I just created a modpack on Modrinth app with only vivecraft installed and restarted SteamVR to prove this actually is the case.
The first log is the mod crashing
The second log is game working fine after restart of SteamVR
The third log is game crashing again
there probably is an hs_err_pid log that has more info, but I assume that is a steamvr issue
SteamVR on Linux has problems with OpenGL. It seems Valve really expects you to use Vulkan, but unfortunately Minecraft is not a Vulkan application. We may eventually look into proxying the shared texture through Vulkan, or possibly developing compatibility with VulkanMod, but neither of these are particularly straightforward since Vulkan is a rather complex API.
