Improving gust_g1t texture compatibility
Because it's an Open Source utility, we are relying on YOU to help improve gust_g1t
when it comes to texture support.
As a result, you may have come to this issue by following a link from an error message produced by the application where it reported that I doesn't support a specific texture type.
Ideally, gust_g1t
should be able to support the more than 100 texture types that a .g1t
file can contain. But practically, this creates a challenge, because the conversion process for each texture needs to be hand crafted and based on actual tested data, whereas, at the moment, we only have access to a limited number of samples.
Therefore, if you do come across a texture we don't have a sample for, and get a message that leads you here, we would greatly appreciate if you could submit the .g1t
that produced the Unsupported texture type (0x##)
error message, so that we can investigate it.
To do so, you should open a new issue, with a title such as:
gust_g1t: support for type 0x## (PLATFORM_YOU_SUBMIT_A_SAMPLE_FROM)
E.g.: "gust_g1t: Support for type 0x60 (WiiU)"
