Be able to use Docker image from Docker Hub

Hi all,

Could it be possible to use the Docker image directly from Docker Hub? And then be able to pull image without be constrained to checkout sources to build it.

Thanks Aurélien

I just pushed the latest image version to my personal Docker Hub' repository: https://hub.docker.com/r/abourdon/webvowl/

Image is available until there is an official repository for VisualDataWeb.

Regards, Aurélien

Thanks for the suggestion, @abourdon. An image at Docker Hub might indeed be a good idea.

Kindly note that we provide a ready-to-deploy WAR file at: http://vowl.visualdataweb.org/webvowl.html#installation

I know it's not the same, but running WebVOWL directly on your TomCat server also has some advantages (not that the use of Docker wouldn't have any).

Yes sure, it depends on use cases.

I will try to update image's version according to your releases until the VisualDataWeb's Docker repository is available.

Please keep me posted, Aurélien

Ok. Great. And we will consider setting up and maintaining an image at Docker Hub in the future (next to the Tomcat WAR.

Hi,

I re-up this one as I can see you now have a dedicated Docker repository: https://hub.docker.com/r/visualdataweb/webvowl/

However, this repository is empty. Do you plan to push related image soon?

Confirmed the repository is still empty. I'll just install the WA file on Tomcat for now.

sudo docker pull visualdataweb/webvowl
Using default tag: latest
Error response from daemon: manifest for visualdataweb/webvowl:latest not found: manifest unknown: manifest unknown
