Mac OS X 10.10 Authorized Developer Warning
When trying to run VisTrails.app on a clean Mac OS X 10.10 install, there is a warning about not being from an authorized developer:
While there are ways for the user to get around this, we should either:
- Investigate how to authorize the application.
- Provide instructions for users to get around this on the FAQ.
Apparently, getting rid of the message requires an Apple Developer Program Membership. It is unfortunate that OSX only allows apps with valid certificates by default now, users are going to run into that for most open-source projects I think.
We are registered with apple. I can add you to the registration when I arrive tomorrow.
Happy new year!
