Request: Have vt files inside ~/.local/share/vt instead of polluting the home directory

Open jerobarraco opened this issue 3 months ago • 1 comments

right now vt cli creates two files, plus the bash completion on the home directory. i work showing all hidden files, so it really adds up. ~/.local/share/vt or ~/.config seems like the right place to put them, instead of just home. please add an option for this. thanks. please also avoid using a folder like ~/.vt directly on home too. inside .local or .config it's better. please consider as well, that a command line flag is not a good option for me. since i want to be able to execute from command line. otherwise i'll need to wrap the command.

i'm using kde kubuntu 24 lts.

thanks.

I'd also like to see adherence to the XDG Base Directory Specification.

No modern program should be dumping files into ~/.somethingorother

The XDG Base Directory Specification has been a standard for over 20 years.
