crypt can be useful especially in combination with https://github.com/VirtusLab/render or any other tool.

A few examples:

• secrets managements (Kubernetes, PKI, etc.)
• versioning PKI in VCS
• infrastructure as code (putting sensitive files in CloudFormation stack templates via write_files:)
