Image not shown if product name has a "?"

Hi,

I use this extension for several years now, but now I'm running into an issue. My product-page is pointing towards for the image: "/media/..../abs-remleiding-3-16-?-(25-mtr)-3-16andquot;-0,76-25m-ferw-95125-31.jpg"

Also on this location this image exists with exactly the same name, but still it isn't showing the image on the productlist and productdetails page.

This is because there's a question mark in the title. Is there a way to abandon this question mark from the image-name without modifying the product title?
