group catalog categories not re-indexing

I am trying to re-index group catalog categories. But it is not reindexing and error message in the session is empty. Please help me in resolving the issue. capture

Please check in var/log/system.log and var/log/exception.log if there are any related entries.

I checked them, but there are no related error entries.

Without more information there is not a lot I can do. Please tell me the version of the extension (to be found in pp/code/community/Netzarbeiter/GroupsCatalog2/etc/config.xml) and of Magento (to be found in the page footer of the Admin interface) that you are using.
Also, please enable developer mode and then try to reindex again, and see if that either displays a different error, or adds a record to the logs.

Thanks Vinai. I will do that and let you know. Error started happening recently. From past 2 years there was no such issue.
