REPL only persists if I open file from same directory

Hi, Bit of a nvim noob here. Using Iron in conjunction with nvim-lspconfig and haskell-language-server (and some other plugins). When I open a project in netrw and then navigate to the file to open then when I open the repl it flashes up loads and closes down. If I open the file from the same directory it works fine. It also flashes up for a second if I open for example nvim app/Main.hs. Any help would be great but only a light annoyance. Thanks Nick
